The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme

The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme provides assistance to help reduce emissions from public sector buildings. By 2037, a goal of lessening emissions by 75% has been arranged compared to the benchmark established in 2017. This was set out during the 2021 Net Zero and Heat and Buildings approaches. This scheme can contain various applications like enhanced insulation, Solar and Commercial High Temperature Heat Pumps.

Both the Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund and the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme are available to public sector organisations in England and parts of reserved public services all over the UK.

The Pure High Temperature Heat Pump ranges are the next generation of Heat Pumps, offering around 120C flow temperatures, they are ideal for both retrofit and new build purposes. High Temperatures lessen limitations on applications and widen the scope to deliver carbon and energy price savings as outlined in The Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme.

At the time of writing this information (October 2022), the scheme’s Phase 3b application window is currently open. The guidance notes, application form and application portal are available within the Salix Finance website. Phase 3b will provide check here nearly £635 million of funding around the financial years 2023 to 2025.
